Finding Joy in 2025

I’ve been thinking a lot about 2025 and what I want it to feel like. Not just another year, but the year I finally get out of my own head and step fully into who I am. Lately, I’ve realized just how much time I’ve spent running around, filling every moment with something and rarely pausing to just be still. And now? I want stillness. I need stillness.
This hasn’t been an easy realization. I’ve wrestled with guilt for wanting to slow down and guilt for needing space to reflect. But I’ve also come to understand something: Taking time to pause isn’t selfish; it’s necessary. When I make room for quiet, I can hear my own thoughts, reconnect with myself, and figure out what truly brings me joy.
And here’s the thing: I don’t believe we’re here to just survive. We’re here to thrive. Life isn’t meant to be defined by endless struggles. While challenges are part of the journey, I truly believe we’re here to discover meaning, peace, and fulfillment in what we do. I’ve been inspired by the idea that everything we do should align with our purpose and that purpose is tied to joy. For me, writing is one of those things. It’s deeply personal, reflective, and uniquely mine. There’s a rhythm to it that feels like coming home. This year, I’m choosing to lean into that joy, unapologetically.
So, let me encourage you to do the same. Explore what lights you up. Find inspiration in books, movies, blogs, or even the people you surround yourself with. Align your actions with that inspiration, and trust that every step you take is intentional, even when it doesn’t feel that way. When you start to see life through that lens, you’ll find yourself walking in alignment with joy and purpose. At least, that’s what I believe.
Let’s make 2025 the year we choose authenticity and intention. If you’re on this journey too, I’d love to hear what inspires you and how you’re creating space for joy. Let’s figure it out together.
